I think I finally know what if feels like to devote your life to something, and at the end of it all, you don't get even a single word of thanks, but rather a feeling that you've been cast to one side, that your opinions don't matter, that you will never see what you had worked so hard to achieve. All you get at the end of the day are just baubles, empty shells, empty words.
