Listening to: Andy Williams - Moon River

Just back from a pretty eventful day. The mentors celebrated Ah Roo's and my birthday together today at Thomson Plaza KFC... Yin² said something which somehow seems so reflective of how the day was - the first birthday of the year was LN's, and we had it at the exact same place... the day seemed a microcosm (?) of how my year was, and a form of closure in itself.

Anyway. The mentors got me an extraodinarily nice present - a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle 'Metamorphosis of Mickey Mouse' nicely framed up, and is now hanging on one of my bedroom walls. It's made up of pictures of various Mickey Mice - I've wanted to buy small puzzles of those individual mice to do but somehow never got round to it. Perfect.

A round-up of the other stuff I've gotten this year... Luke treated me to Fish & Co; so did Terence (the people at Suntec must recognize me by now, I went there 4 days in a row). Teng and Yimin got me a metal car handphone holder; Joyce and Rach got me a mini dustbin stuffed with M&Ms and a big cheena chun1 xia4 qiu1 dong1 cup complete with cover and filled with toffees. According to Joyce they thought it pretty funny, 'cos the toffees were originally from the dustbin... too bad I didn't get the joke *bleah* LN gave me a card and a small box full of folded paper cranes, tortoises and birds... Wen got me a book of verse - something to complete my book collection - and a really nice one at that.

The last rays of sunlight are just peeking over the horizon now... I stop here... to think and to ponder.
