two firsts for me:

• first business trip! well, business-related trip anyway. flying off to HK in a few hours' time for a conference
• first time i'm basically going to be on my own overseas doing my own thing. aussie trip back in '04 was the first time i travelled overseas alone but i had my buddies over there to really bring me around

it's interesting how there are so many oh-so-common (common nowadays) things i've yet to experience - despite my age ;p and even more interesting the way i find raw, simple pleasure in them.
