excellent afternoon spent at settlers cafe (see previous post), playing boardgames with friends. reasonable prices too! and quite a fair amount of seating. will go there again soon.
thinking of: potato starch round cookies (those japanese ones that are the size of m&ms)
stuff to do this holiday - 10 may '04
- "the greatest show on earth: live video and music performance" at the singapore art museum (i still haven't figured out what sort of performance this is though, the Zo Card isn't terribly informative), 19 may '04
- update: singapore tyler print institute - exhibition, apr 30 - may 25, of work by kazunori sadahiro, hiroshi okada & aijiro wakita, according to a Zo Card i picked up today. cool right! i'm so in it.. hahaha!
passed by an interesting place today while walking to the cafe. it's a restaurant alog south bridge road, somewhere near carpenter stree / road, called akvavit. apparently its some danish or scandinavian restaurant. what struck me was the entrance - it's just a completely bare room except for a staircase at the far end of an empty, wooden-panelled floor and a chalkboard annoucing some food offers. the layout just makes one wonder what's upstairs - brill marketing technique, just by using, simply, nothing.
