Today (Sunday) marked the official beginning of the course that I've been planning for my department, and even after so much preparation work, things could still go wrong. I guess sometimes its hard to balance between achieving the requisite level of preparation (which are the generic goals I've been set) and to maintain some ambiguity (in terms of the actual events) and flexibility in terms of what to expect. Sometimes its odd, because I'm sometimes told that I shouldn't get flustered when things don't turn out perfectly right - cos things change all the time - and yet am seemingly rated on what I actually deliver. It's a conundrum...
Anyway. It's been a very long day, starting at 7.30am in the morning, when I picked up 5 girls to go for breakfast (the sole guy in that group decided to go to the office straight), lecture (where there wasn't any air-conditioning until the time I booked it, and my manager noted that they take some time to cool the place), and brunch at raffles hotel till 2.30 (I've never had such an extensive brunch in the last 3, 4 years.. beats even the Father's Day brunch I took my dad and grandpa to, at Oscar's )... reading comics again - a rarer luxury these days - and finally having dinner and bowling at Orchard.
Super busy week ahead, and its going to be tonnes of nitty gritty and running about agai... *breathes deep breath* here we go...
