My mum hasn't ever really been someone for tradition or sentiment. Last week our faithful Siera Color TV that has been with us, from house to house, for the past 23 years, was finally disconnected and placed on a small table in the corner of the living room. I'd like to see how long the new TV lasts though. On Saturday she really took the cake when she declared (or perhaps just commented?) that no-one celebrates mid-autumn anymore... is it little wonder I see little point in spending more time at home?
