Was despairing over my grievous financial condition when Singtel popped me a check in the mail.. ahahaha! Am happy again, though it's only 11 measly bucks. Went down to Parkway in the evening to cash it in, after waiting a whole day for fren who was supposed to call me out to buy present did not call me -_- . BreadTalk's opened just beside Delifrance (interesting marketing strategy this..) and Spinelli's taken over part of UOB (looks like a nice place to people-watch, comfy sofas...). The Long John Silver's, on the other hand, has finally given up the ghost. Good riddance to the place... which other fast food outlet charges more than the difference between the size of the drinks when they ask whether you want to upsize?? e.g. difference in displayed cost is 40 cents, they charge you 80 cents!!!

Other interesting stuff. My gang now has a makeshift message board, so I mailed all my unofficial members that we can use it to post our irrelevant gripes and stuff, especially those no-one can really reply to.... i.e. 'Miss you guys??' - well, this message is what we all got in reply almost immediately from my 'best friend', who replied to all of us. Clever. It's nothing major of course, but it's just one of those minor-niggling-things-which-could-have-been-done-better-but-just-bothers-me-anyway. Shall think of a proper term for it...
