This late night on-line rantings surely has to stop sometime... but in while.. let me rave on, rave on...

The sound on my com's finally fixed - partly thanks to Adrian. I say partly because the problem was a mundane one - speaker problem. I'll never understand why the &^%* sound never works, no matter how much I try, but the moment someone else does it, it works a like a charm. Okay, close enough to that. Adrian remarked that this was the reason why guys like him get to earn 50 bucks an hour fixing this kind of crap problems. Ah well. I guess that, even if I had to pay 50 lousy bucks, it would have been better than letting this new com go without sound for the rest of its measly life, amen. Then that'll make it the fourth (fifth?) com I've owned in a row that doesn't have a proper working sound card.
